In 2020, the prestigious Lightbox NYC became the stage for the Creative Code Festival. More than an exhibition, it was an encounter where code, generative art, and sound synthesis converged in a large-scale immersive experience.
Algorithmic Immersion and Digital Landscapes
Utilizing Lightbox’s immersive architecture as an active canvas, the work When nature does not sleep unfolded as an autonomous ecosystem. The project is fueled by visual programming and experimental sound design, allowing geometries and frequencies to dialogue in real-time.
The spatial design of the installation allowed for the projection of these generative textures at a massive scale, creating an enveloping atmosphere that blurs the barrier between the viewer and the digital medium. Each sound frequency was sculpted through modular synthesis, interacting directly with the visual mutations.
When nature does not sleep
An audiovisual installation awarded a Nanogrand, where visual and auditory stimuli intertwine to form a contemplative digital nature.
Immersive Architecture
The integration of interactive technology and large-format projections translated algorithmic complexity into a unique physical and sensory experience in the heart of Manhattan.
Recognition and Dialogue
Participation in this festival solidified Mettapana’s focus on building bridges between interactive technology and contemporary art, demonstrating how the precision of code can be transformed into aesthetic sensitivity and visual narrative.
