Errant Typographies - after its exhibition in Buenos Aires, Argentina, landed in Tegucigalpa, Honduras at the Museo para la Identidad Nacional within the framework of the annual festival Modular | Electronic Music and Digital Art
Seeing people discover the installation was magical. The work, just like in Buenos Aires, had an incredible reception.
Thank you Tegucigalpa for the love and the desire to explore interactive art proposals with us ✨
A night with high-flying sounds with Anika Kunst, Black Lotus, and Eden Garcia 🎶🎧
About the work
Errant Typographies implements generative algorithmic rules, reacting to the environment with an organicity that reminds us of the biological processes of nature, what Mettapana calls biological algorithmic cells within the work.
This proposal offers a visual metaphor for the adaptability and resilience of language, human, and biological behavior. Particles group or disperse, showing how meanings can change according to context and interaction, but always tend to reorganize towards a habitual state, achieving a balance between the micro and the macro.
This work investigates typography thought of as layers in different depths: letter as a graphic symbol, ideogram, typographic design, cultural symbolism, and emotional connection.
