In October 2023, Mettapana intervened at the historic National Theatre Manuel Bonilla with a performance that crossed the boundaries of music, code, and movement. More than an audiovisual show, it was an exercise in “meditative dance,” where technology applied to the performing arts allowed for a direct dialogue between the moving body, the theatre’s classical architecture, and the digital universe.

The Work

This intervention was not limited to the visual; it was an exploration of classical architecture inhabited by the digital present. The space became a canvas where human movement and algorithms met to redefine the theatrical experience.

Execution and Language

The proposal developed a trigonometric improvisation in real-time: sound, generative visuals, and contemporary dance organically feeding back into each other. Through this interdisciplinary language (which incorporates sound design and the bandoneon), Mettapana transformed the stage into a space of active meditation, inviting the viewer to a profound sensory reconnection.
